Careers Database

What to do

You can view any career in the Career Directions Database below and you can view all careers filtered by any one of 14 Types of Work.

To view a career you have in mind, select the alphabetic link below that corresponds to the first letter of your career. This will refresh the page and display only careers beginning with that letter. You can then browse through the list to find the career. To help you, some careers are known by more than one name. For example Astronomer is also listed as Space Scientist.

To view the Career Details for any career on the list, select the appropriate career title link. You can read about the career, look at photos of people at work or print out the information to read later.

If you wish to remove the alphabetic careers displayed, select the Remove alphabetic filter link.

Below the alphabetic links section, you will find links to 14 different Types of Work. Types of Work are general areas of work such as 'Scientific and Technical'. You can select any Type of Work link to make Career Directions list only those careers within that area.

When you have finished using the Careers Database, select the Exit link in the Main Menu at the bottom of the page.
